Nairobi Police on High Alert After Notorious Suspect Escapes Custody

Nairobi authorities are on high alert following the escape of Collins Jumaisi Khalusha, a man linked to the brutal murders of at least 42 women in Embakasi.

Khalusha managed to flee from the Gigiri Police Station in the early hours of Tuesday morning, along with 12 other detainees who were being held for illegal immigration.

The escape occurred around 5:00 a.m. during a routine breakfast service when officers discovered that the cell’s wire mesh had been cut, allowing the suspects to break free. Khalusha, notorious for his chilling confessions of killing and dismembering women, was awaiting a court appearance at the time of his escape.

This incident has prompted an intense manhunt as police work tirelessly to recapture the fugitive, who had previously shocked the nation with his horrific admissions. Khalusha had claimed responsibility for a string of murders in the Kware area of Embakasi, including the killing of his own wife.

Authorities are now investigating how such a high-profile suspect could escape custody, raising concerns about security lapses within the police force. The situation remains tense as efforts to track down Khalusha and the other escaped detainees continue.

This is a story we are keenly following. More to come…
